Roy Harvey, an independent producer with Snowshoe Documentary Films, interviewed several historians in New York City during the February 15 demonstration and they have put two mini documentaries on the Indy Media web site:

FORGETTING FACTS / REMEMBERING MYTHS: Historians Against the War
HAW organizer and history prof Andor Skotnes (Sage College, Troy NY), notes the use of history in legitimizing power. HISTORIANS AGAINST WAR: Feb. 15, 2003 pre-march rally, NYC.
David Serlin, history prof at Bard Early College and HAW organizer, answers the question: why are there (seemingly) so few historians against the war? The answer, Serlin explains, has to do with the sin of "presentism" -- which is applying professionally lessons from history to understand the present. Historians busy themselves with the past, dontcha know? HAW challenges the group think.
